Homemade Creme Brûlée

Attention all Creme Brûlée lovers: TRY THIS AT HOME! :)
On a recent visit to my home town, my mom and I decided to make Creme Brûlée. I am surprised with how delicious it turned out and how easy it was to execute. Here's how we made it:
Ingredients:
1 cup of white granulated sugar
6 egg yolks
4 cups whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla
Handful of raspberries
Add egg yolks, and 1/2 cup of the sugar to a bowl. Whisk together.
Add the cream and vanilla to a pot and bring to a boil. Once it comes to a boil, cover and take off heat. Let this sit for about 15 minutes.
Slowly add the cream to the egg yolks and sugar. Do this a little at a time so you don't scramble the eggs.
Pour the mixture into 6 ramekins (2 aren't pictured) and place the ramekins in a baking dish. Add the raspberries to each one. Fill the baking dish with warm water about half way up the height of the ramekins.
Bake for 40-45 minutes. Remove from oven, and let sit in the fridge for 3 hours. After they have rested add the remainder of the sugar over each creme brûlée so there is an even coat of sugar on the top layer. Put back into the oven on top rack, and broil till the sugar is caramelized and hardened a little.
VOILA! Not trying to toot my own horn here, but this is one of the best creme brûlée's I've ever had. So easy, and SO good!

Happy Eating!
