Kenzo Ramen

NOODLES + FLAVOURFUL BROTHS + VEGETABLES + MEAT all in one bowl = delight in my tummy!

Kenzo Ramen has 3 locations in the city. Their menu consists of a variety of Ramen soups, and 2 other side dishes: octopus balls and dumplings (pictured above).

Good Food, Good Price, Enough said.

Wild Ginger

This past weekend I tried out a new sushi restaurant: Wild Ginger. It was descent food, and overall a pretty standard sushi restaurant. It was an 'All You Can Eat' deal, and the prices were very reasonable ($12.99 lunch, $22.99 dinner). We ordered tons of rolls (spicy tuna, white tuna, green dragon, dynamite) and some side dishes (chicken katsu, gyoza, spring rolls). These are all pictured below!
One dish in particular that I loved was the spicy crab sushi pizza. Order this if you try out this restaurant! The crab sits on top of a delicious guacamole, which is on a fried rice patty. The whole thing is covered in spicy sauce, and the flavours work very well together!

This restaurant just opened, and I have been twice. The interior is modern, clean and spacious. If you are in this area and craving 'All You Can Eat' sushi, try out Wild Ginger!

Current Crave 2

Black River's Tart Cherry Juice is what I have been craving lately. I can't get enough of this Juice! (seeing as I bought this bottle yesterday and it is already half gone...might be a hint as to how much I enjoy this drink!)
Where to get it? Most Health Food Stores carry this product, as well as many other 100% fruit juices of other varieties.

Thai Bangkok

My sister and I were strolling through Kensington Market and she insisted we dine at Thai Bangkok. She had been there before and loved the food. And shortly later I did as well!
We both ordered the Pad Thai and split spring rolls. A pretty basic order, but the food was great. Probably one of the best Pad Thai’s I’ve had in Toronto.  The spring rolls were on the smaller size, but the flavor was nice.

416 Snack Bar

416 Snack Bar is one of the newer buzzin restaurants in Toronto!  It has gotten a lot of well-deserved hype lately. This restaurant is cozy, laid back and has a great vibe. The music is right, the lighting is inviting, and the food is excellent.
They serve small plates, no more than 10 items on the menu and offer no utensils. I have been here numerous times, and although it is hard to get a seat most nights, it is worth waiting for.

The Lobster Roll – it is tasty, but veeerrrrrryyyy rich and buttery. A little too rich for me.
The Mini Mac is 10 times better than an actual big mac, even if it is a quarter of the size. (This is usually the special on Sundays). I really recommend giving it a try.
The Scotch Eggs Benny are fantastic!
This is the Fish Bun. I was hesitant to try this…but I am so glad I did. So good!
The Oysters are incredibly delicious and refreshing.

On other visits I have tried the Rueben sandwich, Pork Bun and the Cannoli. I always enjoy the food; it is truly fantastic. I have been telling all my friends to go here, and I am now telling YOU too. GO TRY THIS PLACE!!

Late night munchies? ... Pita Way hits the spot!

Pita Way is a Middle Eastern fast food eatery with many locations all over Toronto.  I am fortunate to have a one of these restaurants right down the street from my house. I’m not going to lie, more often than not, after a night out, you can find me at Pita Way…waiting for some of their tasty grub!
They mainly serve shawarma’s and combo plates. If you have never tried a shawarma, please stop reading this…and go get yourself one…right now!!
The flavours of Pita Way’s shawarma’s are fresh, tangy and delicious!
My friend and I came after a night out last weekend and ordered a chicken shawarma and a chicken salad (which is pretty much a shawarma with out the pita bread)

No complaints. The food hits the spot. You should try it sometime!
